Farmington Fire 2015

Weekend Fire Takes Farmington Nerds on Call Location

We are disappointed to announce the loss of our Nerds on Call store in Farmington. It was destroyed by fire on Sunday, October 25, 2015 along with two adjoining buildings. We are grateful there were no injuries or loss of life in the incident.

Facet and Nerds on Call would like to thank all the emergency workers who helped to contain and eventually put out the fire. It was heartwarming to see responders come from all over the Central Illinois area to assist one another.

The support of our customers is a big part of what makes us a strong company, and we have already had several of them reach out to us. We are also proactively reaching out to update any customers who may have been affected by this situation. We appreciate the concern we have received, and thank you for your support moving forward.

Such an event is always unexpected, but have no doubt, we will continue to provide quality service to all the residents and businesses in Farmington and nearby communities. While we do not currently have a store front in Farmington, we do have great technicians who can support our Farmington and Fulton County-area customers remotely. You may also come into our Pekin and Peoria locations or schedule an on-site appointment at your residence or business. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, and for all your computer repair and IT needs.

Thanks again for all the support.

The Unland Companies

“As with most small businesses, our employees are dependent on our computer system to perform their work. Facet Computers has served as our system tech for the last 8 years. They have invested time to understand our automation system. When the occasional system breakdown occurs they are quick to respond to getting us back up and running. They are a true business partner. I would recommend their computer services to businesses, large and small.” - Afton Booth, President
